Coffee
Why is your coffee more expensive than supermarket coffee?
All of the coffee that we sell is specialty arabica coffee that is a higher grade than most coffees you will find in regular supermarkets. It is grown at high altitudes and is consequently more expensive to produce and export than some coffees. Furthermore, it matters greatly to us that the prices we pay for our coffee yields a fair return for the farmers who have grown it. The combination of these factors means that the price we pay for the green coffee we roast is substantially higher than some other coffees that are available. However, it is a price that we are willing to pay for reasons of ethical and quality integrity. Finally, we are a small business that is committed to paying our workers a good wage for the great work they do. This is all reflected in the cost of our coffee.
Can I buy Manumit coffee anywhere than other online?
Our coffee is available to both drink and buy at various outlets around the UK. If you cannot find any in your locality drop us a line and we’ll let you know if there are any stockists local to you. Alternatively why not ask your local coffee shop if they’d be interested in stocking our coffee. They can contact us here.
How many cups of coffee will I get from a 250g bag?
Few brewing methods require more than 18-20g of coffee per cup. Therefore you should get at least 12-14 cups from a 250g bag.
Do you grind to order?
Yes we do. Unless otherwise specified our coffee is ground to medium. However, if you would like a finer or coarser grind just make a note of that on your order and we’ll take care of that for you.
