About this coffee
MASHA is a beautiful, fruity coffee from Ethiopia.
Grown on the Masha Farm in the Sheka Zone, the 1,500 hectare coffee estate in Masha is highly conducive for growing coffee with its high-quality Nitisols soil types, rich vegetation and gentle topography. Situated within the UNESCO biosphere reserve of Sheka at an altitude of 1,680 - 1,875m, the estate has an exquisite air quality and one of highest rainfalls in Ethiopia.
This coffee is naturally processed, whereby ripe coffee cherries are dried in the sun on raised African beds for around 12-15 days, according to the ambient conditions. This sun-drying process allows for many of the sugars in the cherry pulp to transfer into the bean, presenting in the cup as complex tropical fruit flavours
